“Le Goûter de la Reine”: a new exclusive tea-time offering at Versailles

Tea-time ore

A new gourmet ritual comes to life every afternoon in our restaurant. Named “Le Goûter de la Reine” this experience draws inspiration from royal history and the art of French refinement. A suspended moment designed for those wishing to enjoy an elegant pause in this unique setting, at the very heart of the Château de Versailles. Leading the experience are Chef Nina Belin and Pastry Chef Arnaud Dutertre, also behind Ore’s Royal Breakfast. Together, they present a sweet and savory interlude where attention to detail, precision, and the pursuit of balance are central to every creation.

A royal moment at the heart of Versailles: “Le Goûter de la Reine”

Offering a tea experience fully rooted in Versailles’ heritage while infusing it with a decidedly contemporary touch: this is the aim of the new tea-time. A snack both generous and refined, where every detail reflects the spirit of the Château. Available by reservation from Tuesday to Thursday and open-access from Friday to Sunday, “Le Goûter de la Reine” begins at 3 p.m.

The setting and surroundings naturally enhance the experience. In the heart of the Dufour Pavilion, the tea is served in a space flooded with natural light, just steps from the historic rooms. Ore – Ducasse au Château de Versailles’ décor and the serenity of the location invite relaxation, offering an elegant pause in the rhythm of the Château. A perfect moment to extend a stroll through the galleries, enjoy a cultural visit, or simply indulge in a gourmet interlude.

An exceptional menu blending delicacy and elegance

For this menu, our chefs have crafted a subtle balance between sweet treats and savory dishes, with offerings that evolve according to the chef’s inspiration and the seasons. On the sweet side, house-made pastries take center stage: Parisian flan, cookies, praline cream puffs, and the fruit-filled Versaillaise. Created by Pastry Chef Arnaud Dutertre, these delicacies are designed to be light, elegant, and delicate on the palate. The savory selections uphold the same standard.

The menu features smoked salmon with toasted bread, an irresistible lobster roll, comforting ham/Comté/truffle macaroni, and the classic croque-monsieur. For a festive, sparkling touch, “Le Goûter de la Reine” can be enjoyed as a cocktail, with a Mimosa or a Bellini—two elegant classics that extend the pleasure of this royal tea-time. Nothing is left to chance: quality ingredients, balanced flavors, and precise cooking. The chefs are committed to delivering a high-caliber gastronomic experience.

A prestigious setting for an exclusive experience

The restaurant’s bright dining room opens onto the Royal Courtyard, creating a peaceful atmosphere—perfect after a stroll or a visit. Its décor combines contemporary elegance with respect for the heritage, forming a natural extension of Ore – Ducasse au Château de Versailles. To fully enjoy this experience, we recommend booking a table before your visit.
