An Easter lunch in the heart of the Palace of Versailles
Easter is one of those occasions that brings people together. In France, the festival evokes large, convivial tables and traditional recipes… not to mention bells and chocolate bunnies, of course. At ore – Ducasse au château de Versailles, we have created a special lunch to celebrate this culinary festival. Our Easter menu will be available for lunch on 4, 5 and 6 April 2026. For this occasion, our head chef Nina Belin and our pastry chef Arnaud Dutertre have created a gourmet menu that strikes a balance between seasonal ingredients and tradition. A simple and elegant way to celebrate Easter in one of the most iconic sites of French heritage.
Easter at Versailles: a culinary treat in spring
In spring, the Palace of Versailles takes on a whole new atmosphere. The gardens burst into colour, the paths gradually come to life and light returns to the estate’s sweeping vistas. It is the perfect time to rediscover the place in a new light. Housed in the Pavillon Dufour, our restaurant welcomes visitors into a bright and welcoming space. From the dining room, the view naturally turns towards the courtyard and the palace’s majestic architecture. Many of our guests enjoy extending their visit by joining us for lunch, or later choose to savour an ice cream or a pastry whilst admiring the Palace of Versailles. The experience at our restaurant is rooted in a sincere desire: straightforward, seasonal French cuisine, where every ingredient finds its place without artifice. This approach is reflected in both the daily menu and the set menus designed for special occasions. Those wishing to discover the spirit of the house can browse the ore – Ducasse menu au Château de Versailles, which reflects this vision of accessible, seasonally-conscious gastronomy. The Easter lunch fits naturally into this philosophy. We wanted to create a convivial, easy-to-share experience to complement a day spent in Versailles.
A menu designed to celebrate Easter traditions
On 4, 5 and 6 April, our team will be offering a menu specially designed for the occasion. Served at lunchtime, this menu showcases some of the classic dishes traditionally associated with Easter. The meal begins with an Easter pâté, a festive speciality that immediately brings to mind large family gatherings. The main course features seasonal lamb, served with its own gravy and French-style peas. A springtime classic.

Lunch concludes with a chocolate soufflé created by our pastry chef and made using chocolate from La Manufacture Alain Ducasse. This delicious treat remains one of the most eagerly anticipated symbols of the festival, and we were keen to give it a central place on this menu. For those who wish, a food and wine pairing is available to accompany the menu, with a glass of champagne or a selection of two glasses of wine chosen to enhance the flavours of the meal.
A special occasion for families
Easter remains, above all, a family celebration. That is why we wanted everyone to be able to enjoy this occasion to the full, whatever their age. A children’s menu will therefore be available over these three days. Younger guests can enjoy a starter, a main course and a chocolate mousse, for a simple yet delicious treat. Our Easter lunch is a convivial interlude in the midst of a visit to Versailles. Some families come after strolling through the gardens, whilst others extend their meal with a walk around the estate. The atmosphere of the venue, the spring light and the décor by ore-Ducasse au Château de Versailles all contribute to creating a truly special occasion.
