By night, Ducasse au château de Versailles is privatised
for exclusive events, staging grandiose dinners in a
setting evoking royal splendour.
Louis XIV organised in 1664 a sumptuous celebration week
to introduce the renovation of Versailles to the Court.
During eight days, they enjoyed ballet, fireworks and equestrian games.
On the last day, Molière played, for the first time, his famous Tartuffe.
